Peter and Lyn Watson are internationally recognized dingo and dog experts and have been involved with showing of pure breeds for many years. They both have been on the executive committee of the Victorian Canine Association and also been state representatives on the Australian National Kennel Council. Lyn has served as Chairman of the Judges Committee and Chairman of the Breeders Education Committee of the Victorian Canine Association and has judged pure bred dogs on every continent (except Antarctica) in the world.
They have been deeply involved in dingo research and conservation for over 20 years, Peter Watson, in his capacity of the President of the Victorian Canine Association met with the then Minister Mr. Mcgrath, upon the initial introduction of permits for Victorian constituents to keep dingoes inside the law, both were instrumental in drawing up the original criteria for permit holders
Their commitment for the ongoing conservation of the pure original dingo, that they have bequeath their multi-million dollar property to be a dingo sanctuary in perpetuity. The Australian Dingo Foundation will be the future owners of the sanctuary and education facility
